STBB 7th Anniversary - Sticker 'Battle'! - VOTE



Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's STBB 7th Anniversary Sticker 'Battle'!

A lot of interesting ideas were shared, I really enjoyed the diverse styles and some folks deciding not to limit themselves with our current logo

I'm using this thread as a way to also announce a new STBB feature - Polls! While I don't think we'll make use of the poll system for the weekly battle voting, it may come in handy for any other types of threads you can think of

Voting Rules:
1. Pick up to your top three artists from the previous thread and place your vote in the poll!
2. If your artist had more than one entry, be sure to share to share the specific art you're voting for in a post on this thread
3. Vote before the deadline displayed under poll (December 1st!)

The top three artists will have one of their designs included in the next round of STBB stickers that go out to members.

If you haven't done so already, be sure to submit your request for stickers to be sent to you here!

Hoping to have these out before Christmas if possible, otherwise be sure to keep an eye for these to show up in your mailbox in the new year

1. shouldz - absolutely love the MPC design and all the details you've gotten in there! Fun sticker idea



2. HB - the graffiti style on this looked slick!


3. JoaGymshoe - I'm digging the MTV nostalgia, also fun with the sticker expressing the rap element too which I feel is an overlooked aspect of the community - when folks get on the mic! Also like the whitespace left to put your own tag/name etc there

Though to cast a vote... Dope entries, but feel there's some other great artists missing... (for instance @Supafly Arturo)

Love Hugh3's concepts but don't know if it's sticker material. Joa's "STBB RAPS" also dope, but maybe too much emphasis on the rapping part.

That being said, I really like the logo as it is, simple but recognizable. So might lean more towards making small changes... Here's my top 3:

yes, i agree.. i was already thinking of a STBBF #1000 edition >> in less than half a year !!... notify people longer ahead of time

not to advocate for my design ..just explain the thought behind it

Yo Mtv Raps is a huge part in Hip Hop history and Rap music.. the focus of that TV Show was as much on the music as the raps..

it does signify a certain era and culture that we connect with and are still building on and striving towards maintaining.. vibe and nostalgia wise

to be honest.. it saying 'raps' did cross my mind..

but i'm just not good enough to make it read Yo Mtv Beats in the same font and stuff .. ( if someone would like to try ? )

i'll share an idea i had.. since a bunch of us have a background in making and love for more electronic 'dance' type music House / Techno/ D&B Jungle etc.

i thought it would maybe be cool to have a monthly BB with 'EDM' as a theme or even include Rock 'n stuff.. like STBBF Alt. or so?

Agreed - glad we got so many entries in the time we had, but definitely some other artists I'd hope to see or miss (@B-Jam vs Enos in particular I was thinking of too!)

I'm happy to print more stickers in the future if anyone has ideas, post-'battle' we can maybe start a thread if any other artists pop up and would like to get something made for the community

Maybe round 2 next year with more heads up!

Yoo! wanted to make a cool sticker as you described it, but when i tried to save out a version without the dots in the background my Illustrator crashed but this was created as 4x4 inches CMYK so it should be printable. As i couldnt recover anything..

3.- HB - Loved his sick character sketch! this could be maybe connected with Moxatrons spray can? But also sick grafitti! love it!
