What are you listening to?

Still going through Billy Woods stuff, damn I can't believe I missed this Danny Brown feature when this record came out - feels like his energy from back in XXX days, this has been on repeat for the past few days.

Also been listening to more Chris Crack, all the titles on his songs are crazy 😂

I usually don't say much, but I thought a quick rundown of my favorite music artists throughout my life... Early on Micheal Jackson/ Beatles Fan, Then Radiohead, Then Ludacris, Then Flying Lotus, and now listen to a ton of this one artist that you may or may not know of. And In my opinion, he's at the top of his genre and has probably brought me more joy than any of those previous artists. Completely prolific.

Footwork has definitely been a big part of my music journey in the past 7-8 years too, TMO is cool but have you also explored the others like DJ Rashad, Manny, Spinn, Paypal, Taso, and Earl? Really all of those Teklife guys and also RP Boo, Jlin, DJ Clent and Cakedog (a ton of others to list, but a solid starter list on this post ha) are definitely worth a listen too!

This is also kinda why I’m putting this here… I think u mentioned most of the best juke. Trust , I’m v v familiar w all of those artists. I’m always jumping on bandcamp and searching tags ‘juke’ n ‘footwork’ and don’t let albums get by me…. If I had to rank all the juke producers I know it would look like , 1. Dj rashad (easy), 2.SirrTmo (and I could explain why I like him so much) 3. Traxman and maybe DJEarl on this level. 4. Then I’m liking Dj.mc taye manny spin and others. I think for me I recognize the output level , even tho spin and manny are great this dude tmo is super active dropping sometimes 20 tracks at a time and often drops tracks that I feel like are rarely below 8 and often are 10s. Really really insane tracks that are very unique and raw. He’s also really messing with frequencies distortion in a very very fearless and experimental way. Nobody making music this. If you really look at the output it’s probobly 5x as great as the next juke producer and w the quality also there is remarkable. I often can pick a random track of his and have a completely great time, not to mention sometimes drops these mountain like 6-7-8 minute tracks. Three random tracks I just pulled from his bc. If you really really look close at this genre and this artist you’ll see there’s a ton of genius there. Like .. a ton.

I'd not listened to him much outside his Teklife release and features I'd hear him on before today - your post is definitely inspiring me to check him out more now, thanks man! I was randomly playing ones on Bandcamp after your first post and was digging it, didn't know how much output he had.
