What are you listening to?

Love Roc!! So excited about the new album, haven't had a chance yet to check it out.

What also came these last days:

Action Bronson & Alchemist

Griselda WWCD over shady records:

This is not new, but I fell over it checking the lamb over rice EP:

Like the combination Al - Migos (which is usually not so much my thing) - Mac Miller.

Been meaning to check this out sometime this week, thanks for the reminder! So dope, just wish it was longer!!!

Man, it would be so cool to hear a whole live album like this...

THIS. Bro its such a simple concept but is anyone really doing it in release format?

Shout out to madlib blessing us with that break at 2:00. I chopped that shit straight out the video before I even finished listening to the whole thing LOL

Ahhhh - so I'm definitely a fan of El Michaels Affair but I've never seen them in person hahaha - I had no idea this was them but it totally makes sense! Hearing it in a more intimate setting, like more subtle too, that is sorta new I feel like. Freddie absolutely nailed it on his part too.

I did have these on wax at one point  - but I actually gave these to a friend who to this day still has these pretty heavy in the rotation (He's a big Wu Tang fan)

Their Shimmy Shimmy Ya is my favorite on that one :)

Not exactly the same thing - but I have some recommendations

Will Sessions did an amazing job recreating Illmatic for Elzhi's Elmatic - While I think Elzhi treated the concept with respect, I still find myself listening to the instrumental version more. The ending of One Love is amazing too, morphs into something even greater than the original beat

Badbadnotgood did a record with Ghostface, some great cuts here too

Also if you haven't listened to any Adrian Younge stuff, he has some good ones similar too :)

Not sure if those are obvious or not what you meant haha, but that is what came to my mind anyway!

I thought you'd have those  it seems like an instant purchase really.
Yeh I'm up on will sessions, bbng and younge. that ghost album is still getting played.

I suppose I'm stuck in the 90/00s mentality where mtv put out those unplugged sessions on dvd, cd and vinyl. The ubiquitous nature of yt means all that is redundant and we're actually spoilt for unique and intimate performances on there.
off the top i can think of Tiny desk. KEXP. BBC live lounge where they have artists remix songs or do mashup/collabs etc. Later...with Jools Holland. Colours. Flex. Sway. Audiomack trap symphony and fine tuned are good ideas that need some work but something like that with some killers like roc, royce, black thought, kendrick etc would be sick.

anyway i''ll end this ramble with .paak doing old town road in a orange kappa tracksuit lol

Ah now I see what you mean, totally makes sense - any of those artists doing an Unplugged sessions sorta thing would be so cool!

My brother put me on to those Colors performances, there are some neat ones but funnily enough I didn't care for FG's appearance on that (Sounded too much like the studio version).

The Earthgang one was what got me into it, JPEGMAFIA's was also pretty good

yes!.. those color sessions rock!.. not sure if I posted this one here before, think so.. swooned over this hard at the time :p
tiny desk too.. think I posted that Mac Miller one at the time..so good!
and that Nirvana Mtv unplugged back in the day! :D

on a sidenote.. Paak is cool.. although I've just always found his singing voice a little gimmicky.
when I listen to interviews and hear his speaking voice I'm like, I'd like to hear him sing with that voice once.. or at least try.
