Hello dear beatmakers !

thanks for all the votes and positive feedbacks, i've been quiet lately
but now me and joagymshoe have some new stuff for you ...

this month rule for tarboosh is YOU MUST use the samples..
and HUM a hook/ chorus or melody line at least TWICE.. or as much as you want.

yeah, love me some prog rock!.. a friend introduced me to a buncha bands from the 70's ..including Yes.
plus it often has a lotta cool stuff to sample without drums!

two layers of bass, one very subtle, the other is the main 808

Quite a simple drum pattern, but added variety by resampling some of the drum sounds and fx.

Main Sounds are the choir-like sound from the sample, (short before the second part hits) and a resampled version of the sample that I played through granulator, looped and affected.

5 layers of humming support the sample in the main part, you can hear it a bit better in the end.
Mostly counter melodies and doubling the main harmony, some are rises.

the heavily reverted synth sound in the middle is the sample chopped, played and heavily affected.
The second synth-alike-sounding one is a hum, same procedure

A few off-beat guitar hits from the sample also made it in, just to support the bounce.

... that should be it!

Cooked up my entry this morning.
Nice rules this month, and some dope stuff to work with too.
I enjoyed using the drum pack. 8-)

No outside sounds except the humming... I kinda crowbarred it in :( Had to record it into my phone so was a bit of a tedious affair and I settled on this hehe... but I like the beat! :dance:
