Rules:

5 minute time limit
Full acapellas are Allowed
Any Outside drums are Allowed.
Outside Synths/Samples are Allowed.
Sampling another SONG outside of the provided ones is Not Allowed.
Find and use a sample from one of the Spaghetti Western films from the 60's that aren't already in the pack (eg; Voice, Sound Effects, etc.) Required
Use the provided drum and other samples if you want, but it's not required...

The sample should be a Sound Effect (Gunshot and/or other Sound Effects associated with Spaghetti Western films) or a Voice Sample from a Spaghetti Western film (The Good, The Bad and The Ugly or whatever you want).

The main song samples, however, should come from the provided samples in the pack.

aight, another q; not looked into any 60's westerns at all yet.. ..so it absolutely solely has to be from that decade ?

is that Terrence Hill and Bud Spencer times ? ( researched meantime.. some movies yes, some no )

Yooo, Happy 808 Day you animals.

Anyway, for those of you who may not be familiar with the term “Spaghetti Western,” it implies that it’s not just any western, but a specific sub-genre made by a slew of Italian directors (Corbucci, Parolini, Petroni, Tessari, and many others but most notably, Leone) in Europe (mostly Italy and Spain) during the 60s and early 70s. They have the BEST scores! LOTS of Morricone gold. Just an attempt to clarify.

If any of you are uncertain if a Western you’re thinking about using a quote or sound effect from is “Spaghetti” or not, DM and I’ll let you know. Also if you haven’t seen any of them, definitely peep, they tend to hold up even by today’s standards in filmmaking.

Cheers for the post, Moblin. This week was definitely intended to get a lot of folks to look into those really cool older films scored by Morricone.

The samples I provided are just a taste of the (ecstasy of) gold that is Morricones catalogue. I’m looking forward to seeing what y’all come up with this week.

searching for assignment did remind me of this one watched as a kid, so thx !

didn't even realize until i started watching it again.. it had quite a impact on me at the time..

Hey All, Congrats and great samples! I remember watching these movies as a kid and wondering why the audio seemed out of sync with their mouths. Did Clint speak Italian? The documentary on Morricone was really good. He really was a pioneer at using unusual sounds for film. Hope all are well.
