Nice job to the first one! For this week’s beat battle, I picked the second sample and chopped it up into a bunch of one-shots. Then I had fun messing around with those little bits to build this track. Enjoy the listen, may the best one win!

This was a collaborative project between three different producers (myself - Konaphan / KONA, VelVibez, and The Inception). We all sent each other loops that we sourced from the samples provided (fire btw!) so in a very literal sense, the loops were travelling and being worked on in three different time zones (reflected in our art work for the project). The culmination of our efforts is a project I'm proud to have worked on with these guys.

Ayyye, new here. I didn't go too crazy, just chopped the sample like onions, dropped it down to half time, synced at a lovely 93 bpm, and finger banged her like junior high. I don't know if any of yous have seen Twin Peaks, but it’s a David Lynch show about an FBI agent trying to solve a murder while stumbling into parallel dimensions and time loops. It’s actually a decent show, just weird... early 90s level strangeness. Anyway, there's a famous scene where this girl Audrey is eating at a diner with her friend, a track that 'Sketch' reminds me of pops on, then she just suddenly gets up and starts dancing all slutty and shit (track art). So I themed the whole vibe on that. The verses are from Jason Rose (friend from waaay back) & Roc Marciano. There’s also an alternate universe in Twin peaks called The Black Lodge, where everything is backwards including music and speech...idk ... Anyway, my High Hats are reversed too. Nice to meet you all btw, hope I can post here on a regular.

Yo, what's cracking loop diggers?

Cool samples this week

Mellow Monday cook up.
Chopped up the "Modern Jazz Quartet - Sketch", pitched it down -3.
Low end from the sample chops.
Took a vocal part from Back to the Future and played around with it on my sc500 digital scratch instrument
Just some drums added.
104 BPM

Hey All,
At the turn of the century I was living in Japan and made friends with Darren from Belfast. He really opened my ears to new sounds. He was into noise music and played me an album and the whole thing was what sounded like a cd skipping. Kind of hypnotizing and annoying at the same time. This track and in fact my getting back into music I owe to Darren. Cheers mate.
I did the time travel thing with drastic tempo changes. I was thinking of an AI singing "So Alive" by Love and Rockets. When I think of time travel I always think of Donnie Darko. It is one of my all time faves and it is set in the 80's. I am a child of the 80's to the bone.
Welcome to Moblin. I am a big fan of Twin Peaks and David Lynch. One of my cats is named Coop after Special Agent Dale Cooper. Actually, my daughter named the cat because I turned her on to TP.
Hope all are well.

Peace, Hugh
