Brief / Ruleset:

1. make your beat using ONLY sounds found on Fr0ggy5 's SC page.. as far as i know everything is set to downloadable

2. exception is: outside drums allowed but make at least one drum / perc stem out of Froggy's work..

you can find actual drum set hits too i think..

3. if YOU sing, rap, hum, vocalize, beat box, ASMR.. that's cool.

4. in light of the fact that SC audio quality is horrible.. plz create a bandcamp account if you don't have one..

and upload it there in addition to SC.

just occurred to me that the aca might disqualify the beat so all good if thats the case i pretty much put em on everything these days everything else is only samples from that soundcloud plus a few drum sounds. no synths used.

yoo, i considered that.. but chose bandcamp coz one can actually make some money by selling one's work on there..

which is actually conducive to independent artists making some actual dosh..

as opposed to the money grabbers like spotify and yt.

as a prize i will cop the winner's track !

and yeah.. non-entry due to the aca .. and not following the bandcamp part of the challenge

It was super fun to dig into this crazy world of recordings. Super dope samples. I only added a kick and an additional snare, for the rest I stuck with the material from FrOggy5.

very interesting samples this week.

Big ups Fr0ggy5 for the huge sample selection

Took some from Fr0ggy5 top tracks.

I used…
just when you give up, it finally happens for some and froggified Nostromo - City Walk for some percussion

I chopped up, 2when you should go to bed but get snipe by a loop and made the main melody. pitched it down -12

Pulled out some low ends for the bass from the chops.

Just added a Kick and a snare.

84BPM

glitchy melodic bits throughout - tingle your nkjingle
primary melodic piano chops as well as my sad, sad attempt at a bass - unpasteurized
Vocal one shot(s) - me on an SM58 into a Zoom H5.
Kick and snare from my own one shot collection.

This was a really fun one, but maaaan the limitation of no outside VSTs or anything started making my eye twitch toward the end. I don't know if I'd ever be happy with the mix on this, so I ended up just going "fuck it, put a bow on it and send it out the door" - lol.
