Congrats on the win, I use mainly the Sudno sample but took a swell from the Zelda track.

tough samples but enjoyed the challenge. first beat is a loop from the "molchat doma" song stretched with some grain delay, second is a bit of that tom waits song reversed and looped.

Really tough samples for me this week.
Honestly I hate them.
Guess that's part of the challenge though.
Chopped a horn and used a snare. That is all.
just Drums added.

As they say you can't polish a turd...

Used 2 samples, chopped, pitched and slowed them. Really liked the samples this week! Heavily inspired by Aphex twin, Squarepusher and the likes..
- Outset Island troughout the track as bassline and backup instruments.
- Молчат Дома the low drums starting at 1:09 till the end.
Played drums and synth on top in ableton.

But I thought it needed something extra so I added some vocals.
I don’t often do remixes with a whole lot of bars like this so constructive feedback is appreciated!

reversed the first sample and tried to work something around it... played some zelda stabs in the chorus with the 2nd sample and made the snare as well as some percussion from the third one.

Zelda: Tambourine most of the track
Played some distorted synth and drums on top in Ableton

since you asked.. acas that aren't synced well or aren't in key are a tiiiny peeve of mine :lol:

tips:
- rap along with.. hopefully you'll hear the right tempo and hit the proper bpm..time stretch accordingly..
..rap with on the original first if you can't really tell what words hit on the snare
- look up the bpm online.. why not..
- layer the original track with yours till they align.. stretch aca accordingly..
- right key: you just gotta hear when it's off i guess.. else there's ear training.. but you gotta have a sense.. adjust with steps of 30 cents till it matches
