Hey guys, this is my first ever STBB entry shoutout Joa
I really hope this counts as an entry so heres a private link of the chops/samples i took from the provided source https://on.soundcloud.com/fjd9x
- First sample in there comes from 4.wav in the 833-610 folder, the next 3 chords come from 3.wav with a bit of pitching and processing, the pad type sample that comes in when the chords turn into stabs is also from 3.wav, the percussion i sampled from 6.wav, those 3 "blip" sounds are the pan flutes from 2.wav chopped and pitched
- The rest of the drums are my own as well as the vst I used for the bass (i hope this counts!)
- All done on my sp404sx and put together on its sequencer sticking to what i know haha
besides the sample chop I tried out "output arcade" on this track and I have to say it's very tempting to just throw stuff in there, because the sounds are quite good.
I added an organ, guitars and lead synth and tweaked it to fit. For a small b-section our dear friend Joa gives a guest appearance.
Got inspired by todays live episode of DJ ARABIC.
And in the live chat got recommend to try out some compression on samples and drums.
Chopped up the Heat Sample. pitched it down -3 88Bpm. Bit of compression on the sample. :?
Just drums added. Bass from the sample chops.
It;s been a truly rough period with the transition of Dave from De LA Soul and my big homie Double J from Flavor Unit.
I used chops from Heatwave
isolated the bassline
and an acapella from De La
Figured since I missed the dead line 4 years ago when the first time the samples stbb 610 I thought Id share this old beat where it might be appreciate
