I had a lot of fun with this one. All the samples provided were dope. I decided to challenge myself and go for some fast paced Jungle/DNB sounds instead of my usual sound.
CHORD SAMPLE: One of piano samples provided, took it and trimmed it to just one chord. Filtered it, added reverb and bit crushing. Played it chromatically for the entire track
DRUMS: Took one of the drum loops provided. Sliced it, reversed it, filtered it, and had it play random slices each quarter note.
I used the individual kick, snare, and hi hat drum sounds provided as well for the core of the beat.
ACAPELLA: I wanted a melodic lead over the top of the track, but noticed that only acapellas were allowed. So i took a lady singing and chopped it finely, and used a low pass filter w/ an envelope to make the chopped singing sound like a lead synth.
