rankings with decision notes:
yamakozi- nice melodic progression. it's kinda repetitive. snare is a little loud
naturelle- this is solid but too chill vacation vibe
dirty bob- dark vibe. drums could be dirtier and more swung
joa- nice drum vibe. I'd maybe go a little narrower on the stereo spread with the sample
1. dead- minimal and hard. this is good
rip tight- the vocal samples don't really seem to go with the beat exactly
2. dinobeatz- nice one. the dilla verse really works well. the clap is a little thin and loud. bass is quiet
3. goodwill- dig the vibe and melody. nice chords. it's a lo-fi affair & it's not trying to do too much
thou.sand- the vocals aren't really my vibe and the panning is too much
big family- the melody isn't really doing it for me. interesting chops though
*1. locksmyth- non-entry. hard. this is pretty original. I like it. nice build up. this is my #1. what an arrangement! so dope.
moxatron- pretty straight ahead flip. nothing bad nothing crazy. I'd swing the kick more
reusubman- i'd swing the drums more and change the hi hat
nbtbl- the drums aren't really hitting for me

resubmann3ers - punchy drums. chops are good but not 100% my taste.
MOXATRON - def found your style. snare can slap a bit more and a tiny bit quieter. mixing is quite good like always.
loksmyth - too chaotic to my taste. sounds very distorted.
bigfamily - sound choice is solid. also a bit too chaotic rhythmically
GoodWilL - mix can be crispier. needs more high frequencies. (for example dinobeatz has them in his snare and the brush sample)
WigMaster - (entry) quite nice beat. mix can be crispier. i like the filterwork. (nonEntry) too slow and dark to my taste. hi hat sits quite good (needs slightly more highs).
R.I.P.tight - hihat has the right amount of highs. snare needs more highs. i would change the drum pattern. ODB vocs coming in sweet.
DEAD - dope snare. solid chops and bass. great idea with the dark part.
JOA - i like the vibe but i don`t. very creative beat nonetheless. the mix can be crispier and cleaner.
YamaKozi(2) - too repetetive. this could be a great pre Hook bridge part.

1st time taking notes down, trying to add any constructive criticism I can. I also did it walking so bare with me.
Nbtbl - mix had a warm sound, could use eq on certain sounds to have them sit in their own space
Resubmann3rs - could use some swing but I did like this 1
Moxatron - always make some heat, but the beat has room to add stuff on top
Loksymth - the only thing I can say, is I wouldn’t have added that singing part at the end. Or made it lower and added bars over it. The beat was fire, all the layers and that snare roll

I will keep it short this week because i am still a bit brainfogged from the big C which came over me ...
1) DEAD - Mainly for the second part. Dark and punchy. Is this still from the Samples?
2) JOA - It's this tiny part when the rap starts over the female voice sample that makes me skip back and listen again

thanks man I use ableton with stock plugins. my drum rack is from original vinyl and chopped and eq'd on the 404. simpler for chopping samples and stock ableton bass patches. I just got a push 2 and the entry was mostly done with that. the non-entry was all MacBook no controllers or hardware
