Hi. ill try to participate on that STBB for the first time !
But can i have more clarifications about "happy accident" please ?, because i didnt get the point...

Sorry for giving you a hard time guys :) I just asked Joa whether I should add a second sample but as WigMaster already posted a beat, idk…

To @ZOKU-X:
In case you come across a „happy accident“ in your production, try to make use of it in the beat and mention it when you post it. If no happy accidents happen, so be it - It is not a strict rule to follow, just something to encourage. Hope that helps.

PS: guys, check out what Kenny beats gives away as samples each week in his battle, imho things can always be worse ;-)

ey bro.. don't worry about it..
fellas are just jibing a little ..it's all part of the game..
sample is what it is.. once it's up you/ we gotta live with it..
rules don't say anything about outside instruments etc. so they are all good to go.

happy ( calculated ) accidents are sorta part of the process per usual right?
to encourage experimentation maybe a specification like,
try reversing or inverting the sample and mess with the decay or so could have been a more specific challenge but hey
an accident is accident..
in Reason there's a 'randomize pattern' feature.. it's too crazy though.. turns everything into the wildest shit.
"..mention it in your post" isn't in your ruleset above..
wasn't sure what "show it off" was supposed to mean..sorta glossed over that.
thought maybe like, 'make the most of it' ?

all good..

and it's Mourinho in the meme .. you know what a character he is right ;)

btw Go Blues! ..World Champions..

I'm fine with you adding another sample. that was a quick cook up anyway. I think 'show it off' just meant make sure people can hear the accident. also speaking of Kenny I was gonna use the trick he did this week with benny the butcher where he automated the pitch on the sample for the intro.

OK guys so I re-upped the samples with two (!) new additional ingredients. also I tried to clarify the idea of the happy accidents.

Well I guess it shouldn‘t be too easy ;-)

I'm fine with that I wasn't complaining It was just a joke about the beat battle in general. I believe ANY sample can be flipped. I have 6 beats/ideas with the original sample but most are now invalid cos the rules have been changed and there's new samples. I'll flip these news samples and post all my ideas in one track as a non entry cos I wont have the time to finish one idea to how I'd want it.

Peace

The original sample is still in the pack of 3, so no need to delete beat ideas ☮️

used all three samples. added a steel drum for Caribbean vibe. the happy accident was I missed the first snare when programming the drums and kept that in

Yo!

Damn that first sample was a bit tough.
Found something to play around with.
Checked the page again to find more samples to use. Very nice. 👍

Added the 3rd sample into the mix.
Just outside drums added, no quantise on the drums.
Happy Mistake possibly ? ;)
Bpm 88. No Caribbean vibe I'm afraid

:salute: 🖖 ☮️
Peace. Mox

The short Description:
I found a random vocalist on Fiverr - to try to get that happy accident.

The long Description:
1. Pitched up the sample 1 octave before listening to it
2. Found some chops
3. Made a beat at 127 bpm
4. Figured it wasn't accidental enough
5. Auto generated some songs lyrics on the Internet, searching for that happy accident
6. Found a random vocalist on Fiverr and sent him a snippet of the lyrics. Maybe a happy accident could occur?

Video of the process with lyrics and vocalist here: https://cln.sh/HEho6Q AND https://cln.sh/bvcLH0

8. Received some vocals back from vocalist

Video of the process here: https://cln.sh/MABAz3

10. Felt confused. No happy accident on the vocals.
11. Laughed about my sad situation :D
12. Chopped up his vocals
13. Felt frustrated
14. Pitched the beat and vocals down 5 semitones
15. Had a lotta fun editing the vocals and sample chops some more
16. Struggled with the mix ("Why the fuck didn't anyone tell me about the late sample additions?! This sample is f-ing impossible!")
17. Visited some friends at their summerhouse
18. Got home and exported the beat
19. Found happiness in the accidents during the process
20. Posted it here:

Note : I used only the first sample that was posted , before two other other sample were added to the .zip
