STBB#763 Soundtrack Week

This week you can choose your own favorite soundtrack to work with but Julian and Hugh have provided some if you want to use them. We want this to be a reflection of your own idiosyncratic tastes but you are also welcome to spice them up with our samples or just use these. So yes you can combine soundtracks.

The Fine Print
Upload your beat to Soundcloud, include "763“ in the title, and POST TO THIS FORUM by Wednesday at Midnight, Pacific time.
Try to leave as much feedback as you can and you will receive it back.
For easy browsing's sake, you can also go to the STBB page: https://soundcloud.com/stbbcollection
Label entries that are posted after the deadline as 'late entry' and entries that don't comply with the rules as: 'non-entry' in your track title.

Ok here's mine. Was watching Fargo and heard this string part when they're exiting the parking garage. Sounded like it needed to be a beat:

sampled from the movie Wizards. added some drums and spice. threw the acapella on top and called it a day.

excited to see what other people come up with.

Yo what's good people?
Hope everyone is keeping well.
Fun rules and interesting samples to play with this week.

I'm a big kung fu fan.
I used the Fire Night sample and also took some samples from "Executioners of Shalion"
Chopped it up. pitched it down a bit. Matched the BPM to 94 for my chops/loops.
Added a little synth bass and outside drums.

Also tried to match up an acappella

:salute: 🖖 ☮️
Peace Mox.

here is my beat muchachos, let's see i used the Twin Peaks, Pather Panchali, and Requiem for a Dream samples to form my beat, as well as a scene from The Simpsons Movie, and this fancy Sound Effects CD i had sittin here for years and not dipped into much until now. Never seen the movies I used before other than The Simpsons :weed:

can't tell which movie soundtrack some of you used.. not in the descriptions either..
might be nice if you could mention them here on in the title or so?
I had originally thought we could make it a guessing game and try to name the soundtrack but that might have been kinda hard they way some people slice, dice and spice samples.

yeah, that could be fun too :)

Hey All,
Really digging the stuff so far.
This was made using all of the samples I supplied.

It had reminded me of the Succession theme song, mainly the strings part. I really love that theme song.I had thought it was just a chopped classical track but this guy composed it and added the beats. Here is a video of the composer talking about it. I like how he talks about putting in wrong notes for the scale to create tension. I do this frequently but not on purpose.

I did some non-entries not to be including in the playlist.
This one was with The Thing samples.

And this one with 2 soundtracks that I listened to many times in my early childhood.

Peace, Hugh
