In addition, I would like to say that your encouragement has given me a lot right now. I am currently fighting my way back from a severe depression into everyday life and besides all the Corona madness, I also have a lot of stress at work. The victory was the first thing in a long time that put a huge smile on my face.

Thank you for this and also a big thank you to all the people who have kept the Beat Battles alive beyond the old forum.

I participated for the first time about 7 years ago, at that time under a different name, and I never thought I would win. I take my hat off to all the strong producers here and hereby open the battle!

Lead Melody was constructed from the light my fire sample, chopped, then layered/re-played with a one note patch.
Most of the bass (2tracks) is just layering the sample with some low end.

Kick is from sunshine of your love, snare too. Perc and hihats from kissing my love, one snare layer from light my fire, stacked with the others. Open hihat from sunshine of your love.

Vocal chops are from kissing my love, isolated and chopped.

lost an almost finished version of this beat to a crash, could reconstruct&recover most of the work but not all unfortunately.. I hate when I forget to save regularly….

Nothing outside unless Filters EQ's and a plugin counts ? :lol:
