Damn what a mess is this? time to chill brothers and sisters. I m a man of peace, I m just here for the love of music. I feel sorry for that situations. I agree with Joa should have been just one collab per person. I think Joa and SDF have won, Votes are votes. Let s not make this week looks like Trump on elections results please.

aight.. here's the solution..
Balstyrico, Alinea and FE_Joose win coz they got the popular vote.
we'll waive the: voting by all rule.. (prob for good )
if it turns out SDF did use midi he, Mzfk, Nindyo and I get a joined win..but I don't think that's the case.

some might feel and say the win is not important to them.. others proudly put it on their sc page
so I do take this seriously.

I think in the monthly battles before, we at one point had a rule stating one vote per 'team' or collaboration basically. I do think the rule requiring vote to count on 'solo' battles does encourage people to check back in and participate - so I think that should still stand in my opinion. I think this gets more messy when everyone is a collab though, so on future collab battles a rule saying at least one person from the group must vote will make that a bit more simple.

It sounds like a conclusion was reached for this battle, so we don't need any recounts or lawsuits here :lol:

yup, the ' must vote to win' was an improvement on the regular weeklies, def keepin' that.
clearly interpretale rules are handy too.. but there will likely always be a subjective side to musical stuff.
yeah, seems like a good plan to implement that..I'll do it in the Traditions thread in a few.

No worry about the late vote FEJoose, for me just playing is already winning ! Really look forward to do collab again, I know that"s life but too bad so many didn't make it this week, but that wil happen another time !

To make collaboration time easier, maybe set a rule asking to share a central element of the beat; for example, you must use another person's drum track and use it as it is for at least X number of bars (so it's not too much of a constraint and you can make a switch, a break or whatever ) So that way it can be more appealing at first . Just a tought.

And thanks Joa for pushing us to do collabz all the past weeks !
