No, the very early battles were on Stones Throw site but back then, every producer had myspace pages. You would post your beat on the site but a guy from myspace told there was a battle site that's how I found STBB, I was cool with Kev Brown, Skratch Zilla, and few other producers who said that the battles would help become a better beat maker. And the guys back then were cool but they took beat making really serious. I was a kid playing producer, I was a poser want to be Premo Dilla guy.

1. Renzo Garcia - Man this one is an epic, really great entry - a nice journey in so many different sounds!

2. Granny David - I can't imagine how tedious a process it was to shout everyone out like that :lol: - The beat is a lot of fun!

3. Supafly Arturo - The little keys at the end I like a ton - Nice relaxing track

I've alway used Soundcloud to post the beats for the beat battles.
My mate "4x4" put me onto the Battles. When it was hosted on the ST website/forum
STBB118 was my first :lol:
The other guys where a bit more critical/constructive from what I can remember.
Still had the same goal to make you better at making beats.
I did have a myspace music page but that's now long gone...
As soon is I switched to SoundCloud there was no comparison.
Much more community spirt here I feel.

Hey man, you have been here for a good while too, you remember, Bug Seed, and Jon Wayne, DJ Primate and those guys. That was the second grouping of real good producers, they were critical back then but that how you get better.
