Hey all
I sampled all the tracks - went to 120BPM. Found it hard to add an extreme swing/wonky style to this uptempo beat but I did my best to at least make it bounce ;-)
After I went with two, three Kaytranada-esque versions in a shitty way I started all over. Found this amazing A$AP Ferg Acapella on his IG days ago and threw it in.
Thanks to SashiMix for the cool samples.

Here's my track I threw together. Looped a couple things and played with the acapellas I used three of the samples. But seriously I might have to make a couple more beats with these samples!

Could do so much with these samples! Initially I had a more swing beat, but wasn't too happy with that. Decided to submit this one - 120 bpm (out of my comfort zone trap beat) :geek:

I made a few beats with the samples, but in the end decided to submit the one with the "swing".
Used a clap, vst bass and acapella, everything else was made with the samples provided.
Was a nice challenge, i dont recall ever making anything at this bpm.

Congrats Sashimix and thank you for the samples.

Here's my entry:

Here's one of the other beats:

Hey All, Congrats and cool samples. I had to do 111 bpm. I had no choice in the matter. It was my density.Hope all are well. Peace, Hugh

Hi all,

Congrats Sashimix for last week! Sorry for the no vote, was a bit busy and couldn't listen to all the entries before deadline.
Really nice and wide range of samples this week

Used samples from 4 tracks but mainly Françoise H. and Pink M. for vocals.
Added some synths, kbd and drums from outside.
I made it at 128 bpm.

Peace/Hope on :earth:

Yo hope everyone is good. Congrats on the win SashiMix! Samples were supa dope! I kept it to 110 Bpm and tried to throw in some swing. No outside samples used again.. it was challenging but really fun to make

I used the breaks from JB for my main beat. The Quarius was my main sample with the others used for layering and melody.

I took a lil zoom field recorder out in the weekend and recorded some sounds of thunderstorms, city scapes during BLM protest/demonstrations..Addding these elements to my track took more time than I anticipated but was deffo worth it.. I've not made many house tunes before so learnt loads.. Please feel free to give feedback..

I hope you all like it! For full effect listen to this one LOUD :blunted:

Peace, love and prosper ☮️

p.s. I've submitted this within the deadline right?

Just in time.. and by that I mean that I hope you guys don't disqualify me for posting at 9:00 sharp (local) or for lack of duration.

I've just got hold of some new gear and every minute with this beat battle challenge was a lot of fun! Getting to learn how best to switch between Maschine, Ableton and Reason. I now have "even more infinite" ways of messing with samples.. No external samples except the drums and bass from a hw synth. I loved the 110-130 bpm and swing challenge, think I did it. Thanks sashimix!! Samples were one of a kind pack. Congrats on the win as well.
