I saw the theme of the 681 battle. Imaginary Holiday. Interesting. I want to travel by train. And I want to visit Rome again. Not a very spectacular dream… (if you live in Europe). Then I listened to the sample, and I thought that the guitar intro had a nice “train feeling”.
It did not work like I thought thou… But I post my track anyway.
On my Imaginary Holiday I bring my SP-404SX. That machine is my tool (for this track), plus a stomp box reverb. I added one (1) bass tone and a robotic voice from lingojam.com/RobotVoiceGenerator. Try to make this speech synth procurance “Italy”!!!

 
If the dice fell a different way I'd be in London right now, in a basement in Farringdon watching someone with a proper scouse accent going crazy with an SP-404 that is missing a few knobs...

I chopped all the samples from the track in Maschine, and added vocals from a video on London slang.

 

Remix Day = A day when All Beatmaker/Producer (World Wide) had to Remix randomly selected acapellas like competition for producer of the year . My role in my holiday would be competitor. Good luck and enjoy my entry

Dr. Sebi and Lisa Lopes so I'd like to travel through Honduras and Costa Rica . This would be on the radio.
 
I had planned a trip to Mexico over last New Years which didn't happen. So that's very much on my bucket list now as for the next "big" vacation. I also like snowboarding vacations, but this time that really screwed me over big time.
Made a more dancy upcheering first part (even though the lyrics say it's kind sad, don't listen to her). Kinda tough restrictive sample and rules, but I like a good challenge. Quite a bit of pitching and screwing around going on.
Second part was added more by accident.

Remembering the trip I took last year through China, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia and would love to go back to see more of Asia!

I used a piece from the sample throughout the track, played my fretless bass and took some choir and vocal samples for the other parts.

I hope I succeeded getting the Asian vibe in the melodies and sounds I used.

I cooked up this little loop stacker this afternoon.
I Couldn't work the sample how I really wanted and ended up taking a different approach to it...
Just the sample and some drums, and the usual array of EQ's, Filters and plugins.

Unfortunately I will not be able to finish a beat this week - the day I wanted to use for making the beat got instead used for comuputer troubleshooting.... yeiy. :(
Well at least everything is now up and running again, and ready for next weeks battle :)
 
hey All, Hope all are safe. I had planned to go to NYC with my kids for spring break. I like to sleep late and make sounds. If I had time off I would persoally just like to stay at home, smoke and make music. So basically I am on holiday right now. Hope all our well.
