snares: https://we.tl/t-4jP6lI6FHV

1. flip the sample
2. choose three snares from the pack
layer them and..
make 3 different sounding ones by: eq'ing, changing volumes etc... you can also work with the stereo field.
3. have each version you made hit at least once in an otherwise silent part.

outside stuff, barring snares, allowed

have fun!

pz Joa

Happy B-Day STBB and cograts Joa!
Had to read that snare rule a couple of times (it's still early), but I think I got it now. Sounds fun ;)

Tough sample choice though.

easily the best doors song, imo. nice choice for a challenge and thanks for not picking 10 samples. so much better with only one so we can really see what people are doing.

3 different sounding snares all played at least once without other sounds. Does each of the 3 snares have to be layered? Are they all the same snare of 3 layers with different effects?

yes, exactly.
your 3 stacks of 3 snares.. mixed so to have 3 different sounds.
yeah, effects or diff volumes so one is more dominant than the other.
reverb, crunch...

goodluckinz!

this was fun chopping up the doors...dope rules Joa...i hate snares lol...but yeah no outside snares used...made 3 by stacking...i used them in the song and had 2 parts where they are used in silence. Hopefully i followed the rule. you can hear each in the interlude part and also the end. fun stuff, been at it all morning time for beer and pizza.

I was like Hell Yeah broooo!.. those FatMan guitars blending with The Doors!..
and then you hit me with the outrooo!! Maaaan!..I'm blown away..T.K.O.
you're the one droppin' the mic after this compadre!.
and then beer and pizza to boot lol ( enjoy ).. I'm intermittent fasting and on a no carb and dairy diet.. but I need to make myself a big pasta and tomatosauce serving today to recover from this!
ah yeah, and snare game on point!

<3 Joa

lol yeah man thats a sneaky ass rule. it didnt hit me until half way through and i realized oh man we gotta play them in some type of silence. cant wait to hear what other folks come up with.

there are 3 stacked snare sounds but they all kinda sound like 1, i'm including the clicky off snare that was made from one of the snare samples but all good if it doesn't count.

fun exercise and looking forward to hearing what everybody does :D

Chops , Drums, Hope I respect all rules. This one 's for my Buddies from the Dogz Out Family; lots of great talented musicians.

as in all three sound the same as each other?
they need to be audible as 3 different variations.

and peeeps.. don't forget about them hitting in silence 3 times!
