STBB #639 - 70s Ladies

I decided to join in on the competition this go 'round, here's my submission, I chose to sample the Carole King song since I had it on vinyl (and personally I don't like Barbara's music that much).

What's up people??

Some very nice samples this week.
Made a beat, didn't like it, made some bass and pad sounds. Didn't like it. Started again.

Listen to the samples,
Chopped up the sample (Carole King You've been around to long) in to 2 bar and 4 bar loops.
Matched the tempo at 96.00 bpm.
Made two new drums loops, added the samples in by playing a 8 bar loop and messing around with the chops.
Bounced the drums, bass and samples to Audio
.
Took the sample bass end and tried to EQ it so it's mainly the low ends for the extra heavy ends.
Doubled up the sample track, Added a Modulation delay to one of the tracks and an auto filter to the other.
Added a EQ the drums and a compressor for the extra bump.

Added Two Bus channels one with a little bit of reverb on for all the channels, and another with some automation at the end with some echo.
And Finally on the Master Out I added a EQ setting a Multiprocessor setting and then a limiter.

Good Luck people.

Congratz on the win and thanks for the sick samples!

I dont know what happened on this one, been listening to a lot of uk stuff recently so maybe thats where the arps came from

What's up y'all. Really dope entries and amazing talent on this board. I'm new here, decided to give this a shot to help improve my beat making process and gain experience. Anyways, here is my track. I appreciate the listen, peace!

Congrats!

Carole King - layered the ending keyboard chord over itself at different pitches to get the chord harmonies and used a stab from the vocals for the horn type sound

Great sample choices. I resampled the last 30 seconds of You've been around too long into Iris 2 like 20 goddamn times  Finally got it right.

haven't done one of these since the old stones throw forum days... glad to see you're keeping it alive!

rough arrangement of a rough idea. wound up with something dancy. used both tracks for chops, moog sub phatty bass, maschine drums
