STBB #632

Hey polyrhytmic dance acrobats,

here's my entry for this week. I watched the one tutorial and thought I got it and then was confused after the other one. So I'll say it like KSG - tell me when I fucked up :D

I chopped up something silly to make y'all dance and hopefully forget to count the chops  ☮️

Props to Kow for the samples! Cheers

PS: the second sample hides in 2 vocal chops in the beginning and somewhere in between.

Congratz and dope idea for this week
,my 15 year old son had the great idea to rap the teenage mutant ninja turtles on this one ( lol )….im a proud dad :-) hope you like it

Oh wowza, this is definitley my best track yet. :D Thanks so much to Joa for providing these samples, both which I used for all my musical and vocal parts bar the bassline which I played, and to Kow for the great polyrhythmic challenge. I used it on my percussion tracks which repeat after 7 bars rather than the 8 of the rest. 🥁

so for the first beat i made the pattern in 3/3 then made some weird drums with it, still not sure if that count lol. Then i made another beat to use both of the samples

Hey All, Maybe more of a prolly a beat than a poly beat.

Saddened to hear of Notre Dame so I did this non-entry not to be posted to playlist.

Peace. Hugh

So I watched the video about polyrhythmic, still a bit lost on it.
Hopefully my drums comply with the rules???
I used just the samples, some filters and some drums.

peace.

So I tried to go all in with the polyrhythmic thingy and wanted to do a waltz kinda beat with 3/4 time and 5 beats on top of that. Sounded like SHIT. So I scratched that and thought, well, not this round then. But then I was bored and started completely over, and made something rather beautiful. There are triplets in there, 5 beats in the 4/4 time, and all other type of percussion stuff going on. Played with both samples and I really like how they come together. Added a bunch of other stuff (bassguitar as a viby melody, solo piano line, delay organ hit...).
