STBB #618 - A New Year

Hi !
Happy new year and all the best to the STBB Forever community !!!
In this track I use the Chico Hamilton song for the main melody, also Piero Umiliani - Risaie and Stefano Liberati - Water Strip for ambient samples. Of course I used the Special samples for vocals and extra snare.

Congrats Granny, well deserved!

Samples used:
Piero Umiliani - guitar
Chico Hamilton - keys/bass
Special sounds - metallic perc sound and the chord from playdays

never had heard of postman pat. And wanted to do a postman pat centered flip pretty badly. but i feared that it would stay stuck in my head until my last living breath. which would not be a worthwhile sacrifice to make in exchange for what would likely be a coveted 14th place finish in a weekly beat battle.

Mainly used crystal wind, and a bunch of other random shit.

Dang this is nice man! Welcome back to the board :)

Sam Wise sent me an 18 second 1 stem Loop..
I layered, crossfaded, stereo flipped, filtered it etc into what it is now..
that loop also gave me the inspiration for the lyrics.
Sam said the rhymin' reminded him of Dr. Seuss!

enjoy

What's up people?
Made fun rules this week.
I had loads of ideas on wanting to flip the special cartoon samples.
I Failed.

Bashed a beat out this evening, all just samples layered up with some filter work, and some drums.

Peace.

Congrats on the win GD, really dope samples was spoilt for choice. Nothing else outside used apart from a Paul Nice Drum Library vinyl for the drums. So my day off didn't plan out as it should of so it was a bit of a rush job on the 2500 today to get something done, so apologizes in advance if it's total cack!

Looking forward to hearing what fire everyone brought to the battle this week 8-)

Incredible sample collection GD - that would also have been enough for at least 5 battles.

made 2 more flips, but only had time to finish this one.

I just had to do a inspector gadget flip as well so there is your part 2 ;)

used tonst of the special samples, the Chico Hamilton, Anthony King, Sexteto Electronico Moderno, Crystal Winds and some bits and pieces from the others.

The bass my Behringer Model D (best bang for your buck EVER!!)

I could have easily arranged this to be double the length as usual, but I know time is of the essence for all of us so there is/ your 2 min flip.

hope you enjoy!
