Soo many good samples this week - I stayed clear of the spacey / ambient ones though as I wanted to make something with a happy non-reverbed out vibe this week considering the theme!

All musical elements are from the Kevin Keys & Sylvia Robinson - Distant Lover sample, split apart with stems in Serato and chopped individually. Added drums but no VST's.

Acapella îs Yungun - City Breaks

Not sure if this counts as an entry since it has sampled drum hits and sfx/scratches

Used "Krystol - You're the one for me" as the Bell sound and also the low rumbling bass kick.
Took 2 small sound fx from "Boogie Down Productions - Criminal Minded" and sampled couple drum hits from that and rearranged them.
Scratches from DJ Qbert

Intro from The Force MC's drums from Johnny The Fox and Long Red(the sacred crates)
Scratches from DJ Wimpy Bee
Chopped the After Hours and used the acapella from Down for the Count

Aretha Franklin, Chain of Fools (acapella)
After Hours, I Don’t Wanna Cry (soul horns)
Astral Sounds, Spiral (synth)
Ash Soul Inc, I Do Love You (guitar)
Krystol, You’re The One For Me (bass)

Yo everyone hope we all doing well.

Out of town this week so time was limited but managed to cook up simple, but something yum yum

It has been a while since my last post, but I am happy to be back. :D
cooked something up with different samples and some bars of my new tracks
I hope you enjoy it!

Cheers

Yo!

What's good peeps?

Yesterday chilled and had a lazy cook up.
Chopped up the After Hours sample pitched down -3 and the Kevin Keys sample pitched up +3
Added drums. Low end from the sample chops EQ and Bass amp.
SP500 used for the scratching. Bit of SP 404 Crackle
