Cool to have a set of samples from your Dad, that was good stuff. Pulled some straight loops out of the sample songs, and also made some sampler instruments.

Wild and fun set of rules. Interesting to think about what disco trap could be. Took some trap drum sounds and sped and funked them up to have a disco steeze. Took the Barry White and programmed a bassline with that, then took mishap and Siouxsie (shout for putting this in the sample pack) and...

Switchup reminds me of showing up to The Wetlands on Wednesday, but it's actually Thursday.

Lots of sample magic to get dug out of these tracks. Chopped up the Cal Tjader and Flight of the Concord, and recorded and distorted some percussion with the Stylophone drum. No hats is a great challenge. Fun week.

Decided to experiment and see what kind of drums you can program without a snare, just kicks, hats and claps. Played the synth horns, everything else was sampled from the radio tracks and filtered into oblivion. Fun, but tough set of samples and rules to work with. Great challenge this week.

Love when the rules have "swing" in them. Great set of samples, you could chop 50 tracks out of these and keep going. I'm all about the French torch singers split up on the pads this week.

LOVED these samples. Used something from all three. Loaded them up into the sampler, made instruments and played them through the track.

Be easy Mr. Tony Allen - best drummer to ever get behind the kit. It felt a little sacrilegious to mess with his drums too much, so I just added a separate track of kick patterns to lock it up and used his percussion sounds. Chopped the basslines and melodies from the sample set in maschine...

This one is dedicated to my 9 year old daughter who has been hanging tough going into week 8 of lockdown. Chopped the samples in Maschine, played the basslines from the Planet Phatt, and for the personal touch element my daughter (and myself) played guitar on the back half.

My condolences to you and your family. Losing a parent is tough. Head up and hang in there.
