Question about rule one- being “OST type like”… Are we just using the Budd samples hiphop genre beats or are we trying to create an instrumental in the style of Budd? Like something you’d expect to see in one of the films he scored?? And are we allowed to use outside Roy Budd samples or only those in transfer folders? Everything else makes sense. Thanks and sorry for any confusion. ✌️

Hi Moblin,
OST type like - try to make it structurally interesting similar to soundtrack song (having intro, changes in drums brake in beat some talk over and outro)
It can be any genre of music so you can make it hip hop too.
No need to have it same as Roy budd (it is only an example of structure he used and the great sounds he was producing)

Only Budd samples “songs “ allowed
but you can use other non song samples such as talking conversation, shouting, shooting, police car sound or anything that isn’t other SONG sample.

Sorry not being very clear in that regards!

Have a fun!

Thanks for the clarification! Overwhelmed by all the potential in these samples… that 2 min cap is absolutely diabolical dude.

Yo
What’s good beat heads.
Nice samples this week.

Another chilled Sunday afternoon cook up.
I chopped and pitched down the Diamonds ( -8 ) and The Stone Killer. ( -1 )
Just added a kick a snare and a hi hat.
And some vocal skits from Taxi Driver.

Yo! Apologies for missing the voting deadline the past few weeks. I'll make sure i get in on timer this week.
Used bits from all 3 tracks, but mainly Diamonds. All 3 songs are amazing! Need to check out some more Roy Budd!Added some movie score and drums. Everything else from the samples.
