STBB #838 - Mr Sandman

Definition of a classic song, going on 100 years old and still culturally relevant
One of my personal favourites but haven't really heard it used in Hip-Hop that much(?), would be cool to hear people's take on it

You can sample any other versions of the song you can find, and/or use the sample pack

I also included a chopped up main chord progression of the song at 90bpm for easy flipping/chopping material, and included the same file with a wah filter for more material/inspiration (made quickly this evening so might be a bit rough around the edges but easy to clean up/filter etc)

BTW If you're browsing youtube etc for Mr Sandman versions you can record directly into audacity while you're playing them instead of having to spend time downloading and exporting snippets

Instructions on how to record your computer's audio onto Audacity:

RULES
• Use the provided material and/or any other version of Mr Sandman
• No outside samples apart from other versions of Mr Sandman, all outside instruments and acapellas/SFX allowed

I used the Chordettes, Chet Atkins and The 4 Aces. Acapella from De La. I tried to give it a 3 ft High era feel because I'm old.

Congrats Lonius, STBB legend. Really dope theme this week, so had to participate. I found this version of Mr. Sandman and flipped it:

.

Also pulled some small pitched down vox snippets from the Chordette's sample provided. Peaaace.

Yo what's good peeps?

I couldn't get the rar to extract? :?
So I used the google chrome, Sample record function, (plug in) to get the sample of youtube.

Morning cook up. Beats for breakfast. ;) :blunted:
Took just a couple of micro chops, stretched them over 6 pads. And a sneaky loop chop at the end. 8-)
Pulled the bass out from the sample chops. Added some drums. 88Bpm.

:salute: 🖖 ☮️
Peace Mox
