switched back to live 10 for this week. 11 just seemed like it was taxing my computer too much. gonna give 10 a try again for a while. 11 has some cool things but they just don't really seem worth it. curious if anyone else has had a similar experience with 11 and what you ended up doing.

I had the same issue when I switched from FL to Ableton 11 (never used 10). I ended up upgrading my cpu from an intel i5 -> i7 and that helped a lot. Upping the buffer size to 1024 on my interface helps when I have a particularly large set (at the expense of input lag).
Something else I found out is Ableton uses one thread for each track, so if you load a lot of plugins on a single track that causes more of a performance hit than lots of plugins spread across multiple tracks. Sometimes if I have one track with a heavy load I'll duplicate it, consolidate it to audio, and turn off the original. Obviously not as flexible but it does work especially if I'm working on my old HP laptop.

I’ve been spending a lot of my free time on beats recently, after a long hiatus (I mean Im used to doing 1 or 2 STBBs a year since my first entry back in 2014ish! this is my first time, entering weekly" So it’s cool to see anybody mess with what I’m cooking! I also got STBBs i did from back then if any1s intreseted in hearin how bad they were lol
