just use the samples, the dilla drumkit , put some snare of course, I put a bass on keys on the second part. All others sounds are from the just a friend tutorial,I chop it , put some fx on the first part on , and put the pitch on + twenty eight on the second. Then I have cut some vocals chops from the biz of course. Peace

I used the keys as the main sample for chops and the acapella of "just a friend" on some parts.
The spanish track was tough to include so i just isolated the snare from it and layered it.
Not finally happy with the bass and some details but as I won´t find more time this week - let´s turn it up for the Biz

 

[Elevate]

Used the drum break to get the groove,layered some drums, samples the tutorial and used it to figure out the chord progression and the melody, played a simple bassline, Biz vocals on top. I'm pretty happy how it turned out. Hope you enjoy

Cooked this up tonight.

Chopped up the drum break, Pitched it down by -2
I also added some other bits from the drum break sample.
Made some drums and loops with the chops
Chopped up the first part of the Keys. Pitched it up +1.
I also added some out side bass.

Hey All, I remember being so excited that I was able to record the Just a Friend video on VHS back in the day. I love the chorus when he is dressed up like Mozart and throws of his cape. I wish more artists had a sense of humor sometimes. Everybody is so serious. Lighten up man. Hope all are well.

Did quiet a lot, flipped the tutorial Piano, flipped the drumbreak sample (the beginning of it) added some other samples, made the drums entirley with the drums from the package
played the rhodes, bassline and some filter automation
the acapella is from studda step
