STBB #617 VOTE

1. GD -dope variations, the second section 'lalalalalaa' is great drums kick ass!
2. Kapp -part one is dope had me freestyling a bit...might have to hit you up for that beat
3. Ricky Roma - This feels like a journey, good job. The interview snippets are subtle but very effective.

Butta Slick exotic rhythmic sounds dude, Lonius nice contrast between beats, GOOODY crispy beats dude.

Yo Joa shouldn't it be flashing STBB #617 vote instead of #613 on the top of the thread?

Dope work by all I went for the following this week:

1. Granny David
2. RickyRoma
3. Gooddy

Honourable mentions (In no particular order)

FatVonFree | B-Jam Vs Enos | Chopfyt | Detritus Tabu3 | JoaGymshoe | Lonius

sorry to granny david for me being the one to stop the clean sweep...

Never sure how much to judge these based on just beat quality vs sticking to the script. There was some other dope entries but to me didn't really follow the whole light/dark theme. Anyways...

#1 RickyRoma - nice from start to finish. think you pulled off the light/dark thing well and incorporated the vocals nicely too.
#2 kappneffect - straight heat
#3 FVF - just really high quality stuff, creative way to fit the ruleset too. particularly liked the first half

Honorable mention: conner helm, granny david, betty, lonius, gooddy

Good Morning Peps.

Hope everyone is enjoying the start of 2019.

Top 5 for me.

Ārusuto
Granny David

Peace.

1 / Granny David
Found the soul in those samples. Did the dark/light thing so well. Sounds great.

2 / Butta Slick
Track opens insane. Then those samples come in lethal. Could have taken my n° 1, but I felt the dark-light was missing a bit.

[dir=r]3 / Psychedelic Schyzophrenic[/dir]
Created that atmosphere fantastically. And then that Long Dark Tunnel vocal comes in. Cool stuff. Only missed some extra punch in the kicks and snares imo.

Mentions:

RickyRoma
Real chill track, tells a story.

NoComplySoldier

Loved the original approach.

FatVonFree, Moxatron, Chopfyt with the scratches. Probably some others I'm forgetting.

Peace

Great week, Special Shout out to Buttah, Psych, -Connor Helm had the dark side of the force. I thought some didn't hit the light/dark theme so well, myself included in that. I guess cause the world is gray for most of us.Peace, Hugh

Here are my top three picks for this weeks' challenge, not many people as last couple of weeks but with it still being around the holidays I can understand, I was too busy to do anything either, anyway.

1. Lonius (great track, loved both parts, sounds like he put a lot of thought into it)

2. FatVonFree (no surprise there, I think he always the first to finish his beat and always come thru with some heat)

3. Gooddy (great example of light & dark beats)

My honorable mentions go to: DefMute & C1Gart (if both of you had entered on time one of you would've been in my top three picks), Bushbeats, B-Jam Vs. Enos, RickyRoma, Granny David, Kappneffect, Dez Nyce, BettyChopper, & Butta Slick.

Man, the rules for this battle set up some badass transitions!!! I was gonna comment on each track, but really the transition in each of these stood out to me the most. Congrats to EV, good stuff with the samples and rules here :)

3. RickyRoma (Loving the vocal samples on this one too)

2. Granny David

1. FatVonFree
