For this week, I’ve chosen "Glósóli" by Sigur Rós from their album Takk. In Icelandic, Takk simply means "thanks." I thought it was a fitting way to say thank you to the STBB Team and all of you for holding it down all these years.

Congratulations on the win Konaphan.

Chilled Sunday evening cook up.

just the samples used.
Chopped up the drums from the "Hugo" drums stem.
second part of the flip I pitched down -12 some of the harpsichord? chops.
third part the sample chops are normal.
Used a single chop from "Glosoli_no_vocals" played across the keys, for the intro and outro.
92 BPM

I assure you this beat is made by only using the forementioned samples. I used Glosoli in the intro and the rest is mostly from the 2nd sample. The beat switch is at the end of the audio so please listen til the end. I guess Takk you all, and please enjoy!

For this one I've tried to use the "parameter locking technique" shown by Dibiase on Ableton Move. Very cool technique for having something going on real quick and getting ideas but I think I still prefer to use shorter chops and shuffle them around tho

Heya Congrats to Kona on the epic win and thanks for providing this weeks samples/rules. here's my entry:



I kept it pretty simple, used both samples. No outside sounds except snare and I doubled the bass with a synth in a couple of spots.

I did multiple beat switches so I should be eligible for the bonus I think.

Hi All!

I've listened to most of the submissions so far - some absolute gems and love how you all approached the samples. I used some outside drum samples for the first portion of my beat, and then only used samples from the stuff provided (edit: excpet for one little fx sound effect) for the beat switch.
