STBB #1000

oh damn! maddest props to all of you keeping this beautiful thing going! i had a couple of my most productive and creative years thanks to the STMB beat battle community. think i first participated around week 211 after my man enzo eyeris introduced me to this beat battle. i was hoping to participate in #1000 to celebrate this huge milestone with y'all but sadly my producing laptop has been broken for the last 2 years and i haven't found the motivation and muse to fix it :( life's going it's way i guess.. shame on me but big ups for you guys! make this week one to remember! i like the sample choice a lot, legendary concert for a legendary occasion :) much love!
I'm surprised to hear you would go any period of time without making music. As you already know, you and Enzo were a great inspiration to me and many others. Great times and that era was unbelievably competitive looking back on it now.

I hope you're doing well bro and shout out to Enzo.

Wow ! My first participation was 343 twelve years ago, for two year until the 466 ! 9 years without participating and last year I've joined the 961 back in the game !
It's an honor to be part of this community and get the chance to celebrate the thousand Beat Battle !
Thanks to Joa Gymshoe and all the admin and passionate beat makers that make this possible 🙌 🙌 🙌

For this one the beat is entirely made with the Live at Pompei, no other instruments only VST effects,
but as always can help myself but to mix it with an acap, this time from J Cole

Peace HDFK

oh don't worry, i am always making music in some kind of way :) i still have my band and my setup at home to play guitar, and i got a little bit more involved with mixing small local live gigs recently. but the best thing actually happened yesterday, i fixed my goddamn laptop!

hahaaa this is the first new beat i made in over 2 years! feels soooo good! no outside samples or instruments used. i don't have all my equipment right now so i had to use what i got - fl studio 10 without some of the more important plugins, audition 3.0 and my crappy koss porta pro headphones. but even if the result is not perfect - i always said / told myself i want to take part in week #1000 and i'm so happy i made it!

As luck would have it , I stumbled upon this site a week ago. Figured i'd give it a shot on 1000. Great to see so many familiar names again, brings back great memories. Thanks for keeping the spirit alive ! Everything is taken from the sample, I tried to keep it in the same vein as Pink floyd slightly experimental.

Anyways looking forward to check all the submissions !
(First vocal is taken from a choirlike chant , the vocal after the last drop ss the part where they sing about the albatros. Sampled it and resampled it )

I went all in for the special occasion and made a small 4 beats beat tape! Feel free to skip around

congrats to everyone who made possible reaching 1000 entries!

I entered my first beat in stbb 342 (12 years ago holy shit!), then I stopped for a few years after 502. When I started making beats again and searched for inspiration I though: "No way those stbb guys are still going, after all these years..." and yet!

There are few things on the internet that go on for so long and with this level of quality. Knowing that there is a constant and strong community where I can share my beats, listen to incredible music and improve my skills, this is truly invaluable! Keep it on!

Happy 1000th week!
Incredible that the contest is at 1000....
Kiss at all for this special Week.
I did a disco track, I use samples from the Live to do a sort of landscape.
I use clav and rythm from machine. Voice is from the live using an isolated plug.
pz Jeff
