I'm kinda broken up about not being able to show up for this one - we're at the tail end of a mini-nightmare of a move and I thought maybe I could eke out an entry on JUST Koala/AUM with a little help from the 404 Mk2 but I was missing some really core pieces of my usual workflow which slowed me down and what I ended up with didn't feel like it honored the milestone. I figured the least I could do was give everyone's hard work a thorough listen and throw down some votes.

I got to STBB real late; early last year, I think. Wish I got into producing and found the community sooner. You all really showed out for this one and, as always, choosing just 3 wasn't exactly easy. Much love to all the participants, and the regulars. Heres to 1000 more... and 1000 more after that... and 1000 more after that.

Hopefully I can redeem myself a lil by the time STBB 2k rolls around.

i used to post on stones throw forum and do the beat battles like more than 10 years ago, and then today all of a sudden im reminded of them and check on google if the stones throw forum still exists and i see yall are doing the thousandst

1 - Crono8beat - I’m with Bugout on this one, I was hooked at the top of the mini beat tape, and then it just kept getting better & better. Amazing entry for the 1k milestone

2 - Beatfux - Really great mix, this is one I could spin over and over and wouldn’t be fatigued listening to it. Definitely something I try to aim for in my mixes and don’t always hit the mark as well as this one does. Great work!

3 - Moxatron - Having listened to several of your beats up to this point, I would sometimes feel you left something on the table, or in other words maybe something was missing. You hit all the marks here - and you gotta be recognized for showing up as consistently as you have. Keep doing your thing Mox!

Shoutout to everyone for showing up for 1k. My honourable mentions go out to JoaGymShoe for collaborating with his son (incredibly dope - future idea for myself perhaps), BigFamily (shoutout to you), Jeff Crystal for always bringing something new that I wasn’t expecting, and MA Beats and Vinz for using every part of those samples.
