As we only had a very small turn out for this thought it would be easier just to vote for each of the entries in order of what you digged the most from 1st place to 4th place, using the following points system

1st: 4 points
2nd: 3 points
3rd: 2 points
4th 1 point


Special Rule For Participations

If you are one of the the participations in the battle then in the interest of fairness you have to place yourself in last place i.e 4th

All the other usual voting rules apply (same as the weekly battles)
Voting open until this Friday 5th April 11.59pm Pacific Time

Cool battle, thanks for hosting! Wish more had managed to join in, I think this is a cool idea -- Maybe it should make an appearance in a STBB someday!!

Here are my votes:

1. Psychedelic Schizophrenic - So I have to be honest and say I never heard the original Black Rob track before so I gave that a spin first, dope song and the music video is funny :lol: - You get my #1 vote because you transformed it the most I think - I was looking at discussion on WhoSampled, looks like there is a debate about which version of the song was used for the track -- Did you use this one Psych? Edit: Duh, I forgot to look at your entry post haha - Looks like you went with the one listed Nice work here man

2. Granny David - I like the faster tempo, fun version of a classic

3. JoaGymshoe - This one went in some interesting directions, I liked the variety of sounds you got here. The only feedback I would have, the beep is a little too heavy handed for me haha.

4. Oag Woat - I think this is a dope reflip of the sample and not bad at all!! I think this one without the acapella might have actually been tied for 2nd for me, it just didn't flow as well in my mind with the vocals.

haha.. wow.. who knew voting on 3 tracks could be so difficult!

gonna forgive Oag Woat for not getting the aca in tune and put him on 1
the flip and mix are just so sweet.

gonna go for PscychaSchiz on 2 coz of the vibe and clear sound..
the track could benefit from little bit more of an organic swing going on the drums..

then GD on 3.. solid flip.. nice feels..
some rumble on the kick and bass.. and a continuous peep that could be improved upon.

I'm sure Psych wouldn't mind too if you used his Flip Da Script concept. This was a great idea but unfortunately there was a low turnout. It'd be really cool to give this one another go I reckon
