    STBB #909 🦜 👀 'ah well a everybody's heard..'

I had never used a 909 or a kit. It was a wonderful experiment for me. I looked up some classic 909 beats and was drawn to the old school house beats. So I attempted to make one for the first time. I tried to stay true to the available effects in the early 90's. I have tried and failed to make...

Dope samples. Used the last sample for the chords and the flute as a lead. Added drums, harp, fx, foley, etc.

Only used what was in the sample pack. Used a lot of the percussion and the Dekha Ek Khwab sample.

Went with the Akira soundtrack for the melodic samples. Tried to mangle them as much as possible.

I've always wanted to take a classic hip hop sample and flip it in a more modern way. (cool beat battle idea) I'm hearing this in modern day R&B. Dvsn used this sample in one of his songs. I took snips of his vocals to compliment my track and take it into a different direction.

Been a minute... edited: some creative decisions and of course the usual "my mix sucks" after listening in my car this morning.

Whats up yall. I made this beat in a 6/4 time signature. i think?!? I used the piano ballad which is very obvious and up front. I used the monk as a pad with pumping resonances. I used the final sample as a vox lead. pitched it down and reverbed the crap out of it. By the way, copped the FREE...
