    iOS beats (Koala/AUM)

New BEAT CULT content: - socialising everyone's favourite antipodean arboreal herbivorous marsupial... To put it another way: recording apps directly into KOALA / processing KOALA sounds using external plugins. Have at it!

    iOS beats (Koala/AUM)

The latest BEAT CULT video is up now and features ONLY the sounds I made using the PSS-450 keyboard in the last video. Yep - everything in there is from a £5 keyboard, including the beats! The video is a real time beat making session - no "here's something I did earlier" stuff, just me and...

    iOS beats (Koala/AUM)

My latest KOALA video doesn't actually feature KOALA at all... One of my subscribers asked where I get the sounds I use within KOALA so I made a video to demonstrate it. If you use any kind of sampling at all, hopefully you might get something interesting out of it.

    iOS beats (Koala/AUM)

Easy all. I just put together a quick video on using iOS apps - KOALA and AUM (plus a handful of plugins) - for beatmaking. Hopefully for anyone interested in checking these kinds of apps out it's of some value/interest:

    Mono?

It's a good call, but it always occurs to me way too late in the process (at mastering, basically) by which time I can't be bothered to fix it. I tend to do lot of a work relating to using the whole of the stereo field, particularly when EQing drums, for example, where I'll have the low...

    Mono?

Just out of interest: how many producers here test out their mixes in mono as well as stereo? I appreciate this may be more/less relevant depending upon where you foresee your music ending up, but it always used to be a big issue in clubs as the layout and design of them meant that it was almost...
