Been a while. Jazz RnB. I was playing around with some chords from the samples and it reminded me of one of my favorite neo-soul melodies, say yes by floetry. Worked off a similar chord progression with modern rnb sounds. some electronic stuff and of course, more jazzy samples flittered on top.

It was a slow week at work so I made this beat entirely on Audacity :lol: Its the only software I can download here! :roll: I was able to download some drums from my splice account too!

Non-Entry (few hours late)

Here is my entry. Only outside drum. Took three samples and had to spend a lot of time trying to layer them by adjusting pitch. Took inspiration from D'angelo this week. His music is always a fall back for me when i need some good listening.

Congrats Reefer. Your beat was incredible. Didn't use a recipe for this one. In fact, no measuring (quantizing) at all. Just a few ingredients, 2 samples, a kick and an acapella. Simple, spicy, delicious.

Whats up everyone. It has been so long since I've even logged into my DAW. I officially got rid of my studio to make a bedroom for kid #5. I kept my headphones, bought an MPK mini and my laptop.
