Here is the finished track. Lots of resampling and twisting on this one. Enjoyed this approach.

yeah, I layered both the sample itself and added two more samples - a guitar and a violin drone. that's what you hear in the loop.

So here's my take on Lou. I just used Street Hassle, so no extra points for me.

I seem to have struck a bit of a nerve with the choice of Lou Reed. And I absolutely understand the criticism of his person. It's indeed a tricky debate to separate the personality of an artist and his work. So: Sorry for that controversial choice. I promise to do better next time.
