    STBB #926 Madiba Collab Week

Heya crew, I wasn't able to get a collab going in time but decided to contribute something anyhow. I spent a few hours trying to get a handle on this genre I'd never heard of. Amapiano seems to be influenced by deep house, no? I dig it - wish I'd had more time to work on this, but here it is...

Lots of Great Flips this week... kudos to Ikaco for the win and for Hosting my favorites: 3)DUSTFACE : Digging the extreme levels of grime on offer here 2)Lonius : Musically adventurous and fun throughout 1) Joa love the playful lyrics/vocals plus the left field chops- you took the...

    STBB #924 - Beat Konducta

Congrats to Ikaco for the win... Madlib is one of my all time fav producers- didn't try to imitate but took some inspiration used parts of all the samples including the drums. Added some obscure cuts from my own collection in keeping with the theme.

Heya, I used The Mahavishnu Orchestra sample and also parts from the Les Hommes Track. No outside sounds except drums. My wife has been playing a lot of old video games lately.. I think hearing that music in the background probably influenced the composition.

    STBB #922 Oui Oui Baguette

I chopped up the first 2 samples for the A section, the other sample was used in the B section. Drums mostly from the samples.. finished it off with a couple of samples from my French-Canadian vinyl collection to keep it on theme. Happy 6th Anniversary to STBB Forever! *note: I edited this...

    STBB #921 Hallo..

Heya Everyone, It's been a while - It's nice to be back. Since Joa was kind enough to drop my new Halloween single in the thread I thought I'd better show some love and participate in the battle. Didn't have much time so it's not a great mix but I took as much from the samples as I could and...

    STBB #782 - Dillicious Magic

Hey ya'll Looking forward to sharing my thoughts on peoples tracks.. here's my offering in the meantime I tried to use as much as I could from the samples including all the melodic/harmonic stuff + the snare from the Burt Bacharach tune Feeling like my tracks lately have had too much hi-end/...

    STBB #782 - Dillicious Magic

100% agree with encouraging more constructive criticism .. I could definitely use some , especially with mixes/mastering (I've been re-listening to a lot of my entries noticing over time they've often been too loud and thus more harsh/distorted in the upper mids) When Wig mentioned his own...
